Pix of the day. Saturday, October 25th

Cosmo is a great hotel, but the wifi signal is best in the breakfast lounge. Just had a cheese omelette masquerading as a crepe, but maybe the chef is French?

A couple of images from yesterday. Finally get to experience Norman Foster’s glass dome on top of the rebuilt Reichstag building

And reacquaint myself with the fabulous bust of Nefertiti in the Neues Museum. A new rule means you have to photograph her from a distance – though you can still get closer with your smartphone back in its holster!. The iconic relic has been at several locations in Germany since its discovery – including the cellar of a bank.

The Neues Museum is itself a work of art. It was severely damaged during the Second World War and magnificently restored with the help of British architect David Chipperfield.
