Happy Diwali at the Guildhall!

The Mayor of Bath, Councillor Professor Bharat Pankhania took part in a bit of local bistory making at the Guildhall this morning.

It was the first time DIwali, the Hindu Festival of Light, has been celebrated in the Mayor’s Parlour in the company of members of Bath Ethnic Minority Senior Citizens Association.

The Lord Lieutenant of Somerset Mohammed Saddiq was also present to applaud this historic event.
