I was horrified when I received this image from Christina Hilsenrath, Chair of the Trustees of the Bath Jewish Burial Ground.
She writes: “This appeared overnight on the wall of the Jewish cemetery in Combe Down.
The restoration of the Grade 11 listed cemetery, dating from 1812 to 1921, has always received wonderful support from the residents of Combe Down and Bath, as well as the Interfaith Community.
But it seems that there are some whose motivation is to perpetuate hate and division. We are seeking advice on how to remove the graffiti from the Grade 2 listed wall.”
I am sure other people will join me in denouncing such behaviour. Take your hatred with you and get out of Bath.
Polluting the final resting place of a group of people who died before the State of Israel was even created. You will find plenty of its citizens just as horrified by what has been going on in Gaza as the rest of us.
Christina, the B&NES Graffiti Team has been approached to remove this asap!!

It’s cowardly ignorant people jumping on a bandwagon they have no knowledge of or have been influenced by similarly ignorant groups or individuals
The woke generation have , in my opinion created an awful and evil spirit of the age by insisting on ‘wokerism’ be incorporated into inappropriate changes in our cultural educational and work place protocols.
They are in my experience as an educator full of rule making and enforcement of those rules, but often escape scrutiny as the exempt themselves from having to do all that tiresome stuff.
Now they’re procreating and bringing up there woke offspring to look round and find someone (minding their own business) and call them out on it and ordinary hard working folk have left jobs, been overlooked in legitimate promotions and even been let go by their employers on trumped up non issues.
We need to acknowledge that the kind of indiscriminate and illogical attacks on the citizens of Baths Jrwish families is a good example of the cult of workers and get rid of all this nonsense they’ve grown up in and reset mor sensible inclusive and a commonsense approach with all our communities.
This I hope and pray it will come to pass before any further mindless hurtful activities happen.
I pray the hidden things be revealed and the perpetrator/s get caught and then have to face up to the Law Enforcement Agencies .

The idea that somehow these innocent souls should be implicated in the villainous actions of the present Israeli government, just because they are Jewish, is the worst kind of ignorant racism.
Go away and leave Combe Down alone!
