Just a note, really, for pedestrians who may have seen me, and others, ‘jump’ the red light at the bus gate outside Waitrose.
We heard the mutterings about xx@£ cyclists!
For those who it may concern, the traffic lights sensor doesn’t register bikes waiting alone. The lights only change if there is a vehicle behind us!!
Surely the police would still see the ‘jumping a red llght’ as an offence?
I’m a cyclist and never jump a red light …more for fear of getting hit by oncoming traffic.
I’d sooner walk my bike through to get to the other side of the light…not get fined…and stay alive!!!!
