I cannot believe l have just watched a story about the ‘dangerous state of the Corridor canopy’ in Bath on ITV West Country News !!

I have been covering the story since the scaffolding went up around the structure back in April !!
I think everyone living in and around the city is well aware of the situation, too.
Indeed, bathnewseum.com questioned safety issues around the canopy several years ago.
The poor traders there are no doubt hoping that repair work will get underway soon. It cannot be easy for them, and the whole sorry business is dragging on and on.
It shouldn’t get into that state of disrepair in the first place! This is in the epicentre of a World Heritage Area for goodness sake. Maybe the traders should have a rent strike, they are being treated very badly.
Just keep making it news Richard. It’s pathetic that we don’t simply have a system which allows repairs like this just to be DONE – asap.
