Going back to the story about keeping the contents of the London Road planters alive, I bumped into a B&NES employee who was out watering in the city centre this morning.
He told me they are doing their best to keep the plants and shrubs in those artist-designed planters alive.
Apparently, those on the Snow Hill are most affected as they stay longer in full sun.
It is a great shame that people, businesses or communities on the London Road can’t adopt a planter and help them survive this current heat wave.
I saw the council watering them last week when I passed by on the bus
Sadly watering in the morning does much less good than watering late afternoon/evening, because the water evaporates away.
