Back on May 17th, l noticed one of the planters in Northumberland Place looking a little ‘under the weather.’

A rather ironic state as it bears an inscription informing us that it was donated by Cllr June Player, back in 2014, to celebrate 50 years of Bath in Bloom.
I was cheered to pass by recently and see it has been replanted and was looking much better!

Imagine my dismay to then revisit the area and find someone had helped themselves to one of the new plants!

What is it with some people who have no appreciation for natural things?
There are some nasty people around. I’ve been working hard, despite my back problems, to get my balcony overlooking the riverside cycle path stocked up with colourful plants. Then someone kindly lobbed a neatly tied bag of dog poo up into my pelargoniums. Grrr!!
I had many plants stolen from outside the front of my cafe on several occasions so the following year I decided not to plant any. Very disheartening
