That station clock!

I have finally received an official comment from Network Rail about the fate of the station clock that was taken down from the facade of Bath Spa station when emergency masonry repairs were carried out.

Many of you want to know if and when it is going to be put back.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “Our engineers have completed testing the stone at Bath Spa station to assess whether it is suitable to mount the bracing for the clock. The results are currently being added to the design report.

“The clock will be reinstated once funding has been agreed. At present, safety critical work is being prioritised, however, we do expect to remount the clock once funding has been secured.”
