Plant Sale returns

Here’s news of an annual event l know a lot of people look forward to.

The Holburne’s annual Plant Sale returns on Sunday, May 11th!

The work of local artists and makers will be on sale alongside plants, accompanied by expert advice and gardening tips, second-hand books, a display of local bees and honey, and a tea-room offering delicious homemade cakes.

For the green-fingered, stalls will include The Urban Garden, The Blooming Wild Plant Nursery, Triffids Nursery and Buriton Nursery among others. A fantastic variety of plants and herbs will be on sale.

We will also host a number of craft stalls from local makers, including:

  • The Painted Dog Company (gifts for the home and your pets)
  • Tully & George (hand-poured candles infused with botanical oils)
  • Sarah Targett (prints and cards featuring garden birds)

Chris Stephens, Director of the Holburne said “The Plant Sale is always a great day out for locals, visitors and families, not just gardeners. We’re looking forward to welcoming a range of art and craft stalls this year, so that everyone can take something special home.”

All proceeds will benefit the work of the Museum.

The Holburne’s mission statement is ‘Changing Lives through Art’, signalling its commitment to opening up the enjoyment of art to people of all ages and from every walk of life. We work with a wide variety of local community groups and seek to be accessible to people who might not otherwise engage with us.
