Just wanted to preserve this HTV West feature from 1985 on YouTube. A long time ago but an unforgettable journey.
It’s not the complete programme – there is no commentary – it is what’s known as the cameraman’s ‘cut’.
I leave it here as a tribute to the late John Bennett on camera and the late Tony Griggs on sound. Two brilliant technicians and friends.
Also as a tribute to all those at what was RAF Lyneham’s Transport Command. The Wiltshire home of the Hercules or ‘Fat Albert’ – the aircraft that carried us over such a vast ocean.
