These are the nearest cycle racks to the Great Pulteney Street Surgery and all there is to secure your bike if visiting a doctor or nurse.

First come, and you can chain to the surgery railings but that’s only good for two bikes.

The least B&NES could do is get this area swept free of leaves. It doesn’t make life easy for those who try to stay active and cycle.
I moved from Walthamstow, East London in 2017 & they were one of the Cycling pioneer authorities who B&NES largely copied. Whilst a large London Borough & B&NES aren’t brilliant comparators, just have a look at their respective ‘Cycle Parking’ pages – 2,000 cycle stands (in addition to masses of storage racks and big cycle hangers) across the Borough!!! B&NES has some catching up to do if they’re serious (& I don’t think they are after Joanna Wright left the Lib Dems)

It’s fair to say also that Walthamstow is rather flatter than Bath. It also has more attractive cycle hangars – the kind with a semicircular profile used in London and Edinburgh. Bath’s are uglier.
Sadly Maintenance is not a top priority for our LibDem Council.
