Winds may blow, and rain may lash, but last night’s inaugural cabaret was a smash!
Bath’s Mr Music, Matt Finch, stands in the middle of this group of talented singers who gave the city its first taste of musical theatre cabaret at Widcombe Social Club last night.
Whatever the weather outside, l was amongst the 80 people who had braved the elements to watch this first entertainment of its kind blow all the ‘blues’ away.
I had told Matt about the Secret Cabaret l had attended in Bristol last year – aboard the Glass Boat in the city’s floating harbour and – although we don’t have that sort of facility here – maybe he would like to have a go at organising something similar.
So many performers came forward to participate that he split the entertainment over two nights. The second musical happening is Sunday, March 2nd at 7 pm. The venue remains the same – Widcombe Social Club.
