Katie O’Brien from the 44AD Artspace Gallery in Bath has dropped me an email which l think will be of interest to local artists.
She says: ” I wondered if you might be able to let your readers know about an exciting new open call for artists in the Somer Valley area.
The IMAGINE Midsomer Norton commission seeks proposals for community-led artworks to be installed in Midsomer Norton High Street over the Summer of 2025, as part of the town’s regeneration programme.
We are seeking to appoint three artists, and £3,000 is available per artist.
Applications are open now, with a deadline of 23 February 2025.
Here’s some more info: https://www.44ad.net/imagine-open-call-25.html
You can email imagineartcomm@gmail.com for any questions.”
IMAGINE Midsomer Norton is a partnership project between B&NES Council and Midsomer Norton Town Council. The art commission is being produced by 44AD artspace and supported by Midsomer Norton Community Trust and Midsomer Norton Arts & Music Festival.
