The neighbouring restaurants have organised a petition against JD Wetherspoon operating there. They fear it will turn more refined diners off George Street.

Oh good grief! So that’s a new burger joint on the corner of that same row, then JD’s tv pub alongside….the whole of George St is real swiftly turning into a student’s boozy dream.
Just picture it on a Friday night.
Meanwhille, beautiful historic Milsom Street is loosing Jolly’s & half empty.
It sure is sad.
Geez…what on earth is happening to classy, up-market Bath?
