Regular followers of bathnewseum.com will know l recently attended an ‘old boys’ HTV West gathering – and it was good to catch up with my former colleagues.
What you see above comes courtesy of Robin Thompson. That’s him holding the mike as l interview someone about the airship floating above us.
Robin reminded me – at our Cheddar gathering – that we took a trip in that dirigible. I think it was somewhere near Bristol Airport – but could be wrong. We did a live broadcast into the news too. Quite a technical feat achieved by him and cameraman Justin.

Both you and I had a go at “flying” the airship and trying to follow the A38 a thousand feet or so below us . NOT an easy task – it was a little like steering a very large ship – great fun all the same !
