My image today is a very personal one and features a gathering of many of my former colleagues and friends from my days at HTV West.
We are pictured at the Bath Arms in Cheddar (thanks Katie for taking the shot – and Richard Lister for driving me and Gary there!) where we met for lunch and – yes l know – much chat about the good old days.
Journalists, cameramen, soundmen, lighting technicians, floor managers, film editors, freelancers, presenters and directors – all played a role in bringing you everything from Robin of Sherwood to Report West!
I feature them today to thank them for being with me on an amazing journey through our professional lives and for sharing the many adventures we had along the way.
We also remembered those who were ‘ empty chairs at empty tables’ – either through illness or their passing.
I wouldn’t change a thing. Oh, and l look forward to next year!
Good old HTV. And let’s not forget TWW. So much better than the current TV ‘jungle’. Too much choice, these days; and most of it unwatchable!
