Manda’s video update

It’s certainly an emotive subject here in these parts and now Cllr Manda Rigby – B&NES Cabinet member for Transport – has taken to YouTube to defend and discuss the council’s Liveable Neighbourhood programme.

It’s a video statement on what happens next – specifically after the recent legal challenge regarding one of the trial schemes.

  1. Until she understands the impact of the traffic diverted from the liveable neighbourhoods on the alternate routes they are then forced into, she is never going to win hearts and minds. Everybody wants to remove traffic from their own road, but the people then getting diverted traffic past their houses which they never suffered before MUST also be consulted.
