It was of course part of one of the metal planters lining the city end of the London Road.
Artist-designed installations that are either loved or hated.
Whatever your view – and there was a plan to move and scatter them around the inner city – some community involvement was necessary to ensure they could be properly planted and maintained.
They are looking lovely at the moment. The more greenery the better on that major traffic route.
