No sooner do l feature these objects, as today’s ‘Pic of the Day,’ than l bump into Marcus – our champion ‘leader’ of the BANES Graffiti Unit – busy at work on the said objects with a brush loaded with paint remover.

I remember, at the start of one recent Christmas Market, blocks outside the Abbey were disguised with Christmas wrapping paper!

Looks like they’re ‘gift-wrapping’ the concrete​ blocks. (2017)

  1. They are so ugly, you can’t disguise the solid lump of concrete by putting painted material in it! Hideous for our beautiful city, someone with poor taste is making decisions.

  3. Quite agree. Ugly and out of place. Why are they needed inside our security ring’?
