Oh dear. Seems the ‘sliders’ security system by Bath Abbey is already playing a dual role.

Two of the bollards are minus their caps and now enjoying life as litter bins.

    Next it’ll be seagulls using them as lookout posts.
    Or cigarette butt ashtrays.
    Or perhaps even handy urinals…

  3. Well, at least they’re being used.
    They haven’t been very useful fulfilling their primary function – as anticipated.
    Mind you £10m for litter bins seems a bit rich, even by B&NES procurement standards.
