As some of you may know l have started doing podcasts on Spotify. Look for ‘Wyatt’s Place” and you can listen to quite a few local peoiple now talking about their lives and occupations.
With that in mind it was good to hear from Dan Merrett who is the manager of Bathscape- https://www.bathscape.co.uk/
He writes:
“As a fellow convert to the joys of producing podcasts I thought you’d be interested to hear that our monthly Bathscape Footprints podcast has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Local Show’ category of the national Audio Radio Industry Awards, which have just been announced.
This is the second year running that we’ve been shortlisted and, much as our podcast producer Pommy Harmar enjoyed rubbing shoulders with well-known faces at last year’s ceremony, we hope to go one better this year and walk away with an award.

The winners will be broadcast in London in May.
As ever readers can listen to our current and previous episodes for free here https://footprints.captivate.fm/episodes/1#showEpisodes and we hope they enjoy them.
Our March episode features the Geology of Bath and includes our intrepid producer going down a working stone mine where she gets to see a recently discovered unmapped area of workings now preserved as a time capsule complete with 200 year old graffiti.
Meantime we are putting the finishing touches to our April episode all about local gardens and gardening. Fingers crossed we get an award but regardless of that we enjoy making them.

PS I’ve been really enjoying your Wyatt’s Place podcasts, a great way to hear directly from such a wide variety of people doing interesting things in the city.”
Good luck Dan, to Pommy and all the team.
