Dr Lyn Barham – who is a Trustee and Food Group Convenor of Transition Bath – writes:
‘A small group of people, sharing an interest in the presence of Bath in its landscape, took a riverside walk from the city out towards Saltford today.

We had many sightings of interesting plants and wildlife, thanks to the sharp eyes and extensive knowledge of a local ecologist amongst our number. But we didn’t need any of his skill to see the sorry sight left by the recent high water.

The riverside plants were festooned with plastic, paper and general detritus. I guess we all created this, however hard some of us try not to, but who will clear it up? Sadly, nothing but time, probably.
