Judy Spencer, Chair of the Bath-Braunschweig Twinning Association, writes:
‘At the end of August, Bath’s twin town of Brunswick held a series of well-attended events to mark the inauguration of the Bath Garden in one of their central parks.
The garden celebrates over 50 years of friendship between our two cities, and a similar garden dedicated to Brunswick may be found in the Parade Gardens.
Members of the Bath-Braunschweig Association were among the guests in August, and after speeches by the Lord Mayor of Brunswick, Dr Thorsten Kornblum, and other dignitaries, the guests were entertained by the Münsterchor of St Aegidien.
This choir will be visiting Bath from 15th – 22nd October for a full programme of events. In particular, they will give a recital in the Abbey at 13.00 on Thursday, 19th October.
