A little plug for an event happening in my home patch.
Don’t miss the event of the ‘Summer’ – the 8th Swainswick Harvest Beer Festival. Advance tickets are on sale for only until Monday 28th August) at £7 (free glass and first half pint included) ….. thereafter, if any tickets are left, entry at the gate will be at £9 (U18 – £2).
This year, we will have 17 beers on offer …. from breweries including Stroud Brewery, Electric Bear, Kettlesmiths, Uley Brewery, Frome Brewing, Abbey Ales and our own team of local brewers. Honey’s of Midford will supply 3 crafted ciders and wine and soft drinks will be on sale (orange squash FOC for the youngsters).
As well as the Bear Essentials playing the opening jazz set, and the Dadz Band headlining with their repertoire of traditional favourites, we are fortunate enough to have persuaded a locally-based highly talented international flutist/saxophonist to entertain us in between …… a new dimension to the Beerfest that should not be missed. Jimmy will be there again to entertain the children.
