My ‘chain’ of office!

Bath cyclists have got themselves a new champion.

He’s 34 year old Pete Dyson – a behavioural scientist at the University of Bath – who becomes the second ‘Bicycle Mayor’ of the city.

It’s an honorary title – now used around the world – and given to someone who volunteers to lead the campaign to make cycling easier, safer, cheaper and more enjoyable within their home town or city.

Pete takes over from Saskia Heijltjes – the first person in Bath to hold the title – who is now an elected Green councillor for Lambridge.

I met up with him in the Saw Close to find out more.
