No sooner do they complete work to the Parade Gardens balustrade at the side of North Parade Road (hit by a vehicle l believe) – than another section of this stone fencing collapses just yards away.
I am told it had something to do with someone bravely trying to stop someone else from jumping off the wall. However, the ‘rescuer’ ends up going over with stone landing on top of him and breaking a limb.
None of this is verified information. I wish the injured fellow well and now wonder how long it will take to work out who pays for this repair!?
