Here’s a happy event. Bath’s well-known Silver Ring Choir presenting local charity, Hope and Homes for Children with a cheque for £1000.
This is a result of fundraising and concerts in 2022 and as Choir Chairman, Marian McNeir MBE explains :
“ This is such a wonderful charity lead by local volunteers, Keith and Julia Maslin who have dedicated many years to supporting this humanitarian aid children’s charity which aims to move vulnerable children out of institutions and into family based care. The charity operates in Eastern Europe and Africa and increasingly in Ukraine where mother and baby units have been established since the Russian invasion.
The SRC is proud to support this very worthwhile charity. “
Keith Maslin explains that the aim is to ensure that every child feels the love and support of belonging to a safe family home. The charity was established in 1994 when much work was done to move Romanian babies out of orphanages and into family units. This ethos continues today, wherever it is needed.
