Am hearing that cycle hoops WILL be reinstalled outside the Guildhall, from where they have been gradually reduced to none!
At the top of Cheap Street, the reinstated hoops may stay in place for future Remembrance Sunday parades. I can’t see why they are ever taken away?
Those outside the Guildhall will have to be able to be taken out and replaced. That Sunday parade also sees the pedestrian traffic lights temporarily taken away too.
There’s got to be a better way of doing this march. Why not move the saluting stand elsewhere. Around the corner maybe – facing the Abbey?
