Two of my Gt Uncles fell in WW1. I never knew them but have come to know them (and their stories) through the family research that I have undertaken. 6 of my uncles (and my own father) saw service in WW2 but mercifully, survived. My son-in-law is in the Army so I have good reason (like many) to pay tribute to those who fell and to honour those who continue to protect us, in an increasingly volatile world.
