Not a bad start to a dull and blustery 1st of November to find Bath Abbey full of laughter – and at just after nine in the morning.
You could say those gathered as guinea pigs – for a very special demonstration of a particular mental and physical technique – were proving a point about laughter being the best medicine.

We were being treated to a demonstration of Laughter Yoga supervised by Bruni Walker of The Vitality Studio from Bradford on Avon.
The occasion was being used to launch the Bath BID Festival of Wellbeing which – it is hoped – will all make us feel a lot happier, and the city busier, during the usual dull early new year month of February.

It will bring together venues, hotels, therapists and practitioners for a three-week celebration of wellness – and the city’s connections to thermal waters for local residents, city-centre workers and visitors to enjoy – from 7 to 25 of February next year.
I asked Bath BID’s CEO Allison Herbert to tell us more.
