I am not sure if this was the photograph local photographer Rob Coles was referring to in his latest email to Bath Newseum? Or maybe it was this one?

I have always thought the symmetry of the tunnel was spoiled by the railings. Historically the tow lines of horse boats would have snagged on the railing
I, therefore, went to my archive to find the pre-railing photos that I took many years ago that illustrate what I mean.
After looking through several thousand photos and negs I found the attached. Looked at your site again and your splendid photo was not there! Did I imagine it?”
