Wow, that was a sneaky and prompt repair.

One minute the Rebecca at the Well fountain is cordoned off – as someone had tried to wrench her bowl off – and the next minute her integrity is restored and it’s as if nothing ever happened!?

If only the restoration and re-commissioning of the Laura Place Fountain could be as prompt!!

  1. Well worth reporting is the most amazing replacement work which has been done, by the Stone Mason, on the railings at Laura Place Connaught Mansions. You will recall that about two years ago a Range Rover ploughed through the ground floor railings and did an excellent job of demolishing a huge area of it, before coming to rest! I do hope somebody was taking “Work in Progress” photos of the reparations. Kind regards, Nola Wright
