Off on my bike in the wind and rain this morning to meet a local author who has just published what has been described as ‘a hilarious romp through Regency Bath.’
He’s William Keeling – a former foreign correspondent for the Financial Times who left journalism to go into the chocolate business before moving to Bath to start fulfilling a different career as a novelist.
‘Belle Nash and the Bath Souffle’ is the first in what will be a four-part series and – with thanks to Rosario’s Cafe – we were able to escape the wet, enjoy a coffee and talk about the book and how he got into writing.
