Nothing to enjoy

‘Please enjoy the park and river setting’ says the Bath Quays Waterside sign at the Churchill Bridge end of this transformed part of the riverbank – provided with paths and trees and flower beds as part of a flood relief scheme a few years ago.

But says Patricia Fosbury, there is nothing very enjoyable about the area at the moment. She writes:

Since it was landscaped and planted a few years ago it has just been left to its own devices and now looks very sorry for itself.

I am sure a large amount of money was spent on this project when the work was carried out; are we going to have to pay again for its ‘upgrade’ when the Bath Quays project is finished?

Perhaps you could investigate for your Bath Newseum readers, of which I am a regular.

I have to agree with you Patricia, graffiti and weeds have crept into the space where l doubt many people would want to spend much time.

I will take it up with B&NES.
