Bath is one of twelve cities that have applied for ‘Lord’ mayor status as part of national celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. An announcement is due this spring.
However, with a government keen to talk about ‘leveling up’ other contenders like Derby, Sunderlandland and Wolverhampton could be said to stand a better chance of being granted the honour.
Fingers crossed anyway.
