A set of green fingers could help you win a prize!
The annual gardening competition run by Bath in Bloom is now open for entries.
After a year with no competition, it’s time to encourage you all to enter and have your gardening skills recognised. The competition aims to encourage gardening and contribute to enhancing our area through eye catching and environmentally friendly gardening.
There are categories for private gardens of all sizes, community groups and allotment holders. A special category this year is for gardening with environmentally friendly methods.
Bath in Bloom also wants to encourage pubs and businesses to enter and has categories for container gardens outside a pub or a business as well as for a garden. Pubs and businesses are important to the local environment, so please encourage any of the pubs and businesses you visit after lock down, to enter.
Entries will be judged for design, Impact, use of plants, and condition, care and sustainability.
The competition is free to enter and open to anyone within the Bath and NE Somerset area. The closing date is Monday 7th June.
The judges will visit each entry in July and entries will be celebrated at a special presentation event.
