A lorry load for Larkhall.

A quick check – this morning – on our Queen Square obelisk repair and then some salutary statistics to share with you.

While we’re on the subject of the pandemic, a more immovable solution to accommodating social distancing for local shoppers appeared in the Larkhall Square area this morning – as concrete blocks replaced a line of plastic barriers.

An interview with local B&NES representative Cllr Joanna Wright – as to why this was necessary – follows me – so keep watching.

Cllr Wright says the blocks are going to be planted up – so won’t look quite so stark. Though, she said, the main reason they are there is to help protect the health of the local community.
