Top ten honours for the University of Bath which has been ranked 9th in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, placing it in the top of the table rankings for three major national league tables.
Climbing two places from last year, Bath has re-entered the top 10 for the first time since 2014. It was also one of only five institutions shortlisted for the category of The Times University of the Year 2021.
This follows rankings of 6th in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2021 and 9th by the Complete University Guide 2021, placing the University of Bath in the top ten for all three of the UK’s national university league tables.
The University also had an excellent performance on graduate outcomes, being named the leading multi-faculty institution outside of Oxford and Cambridge.
Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Bath, Professor Ian White FREng, said: “I am tremendously proud that Bath has placed 9th in the latest national league table, particularly as it marks a trio of top tens in national university rankings.
“The University has achieved notable recognition for its record in employment and earning prospects for graduates, thanks in part to our well-established placement scheme which ensures wider skills match academic excellence.
“As we approach the new academic term in unprecedented difficult circumstances I am sure this accolade will inspire all in our community at Bath who have worked so hard over a number of years to provide an outstanding learning and teaching environment.”
For specific courses, Architecture at Bath is placed number one in the country, whilst Sports Science is second and Aeronautical Engineering third.
Including these, across 16 disciplines the University ranks in the top ten according to the latest Good University Guide, including for:

The league table is made up of nine indicators including student satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider student experience, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, service and facilities spend, and degree completion rates.
