Hi-tech centre to open next year.

Bath’s new World Heritage Centre is due to open after Easter next year.

That’s according to Stephen Clews who is Manager of the Roman Baths. The Centre is part of the multi-million pound Archway Project that will also provide a new learning centre for young people and access to even more of the Roman remains that helped the city gain its World Heritage status.

Stephen spoke to Richard Wyatt about how well things are going with the build AND at the newly-reopened Roman Baths.

Looks as though the ‘archway’ that features in the project title is going to feature prominently in the new development.

It hides the water pipes running to the old laundry which is now being transformed. Stephen told me it will be illuminated at night – adding to the after-dark light show in the city.
