Bath hotel announces reopening

Apex City of Bath Hotel will be opening its doors again for business on Monday, July 20th.

The family-owned hotel group, which has 10 properties across the country, has confirmed the reopening of its portfolio will take place in stages. Bath is one of the first four hotels to reopen later this month.

With bookings already open, the group says it’s sealed its commitment to guests by putting in place ‘Apex Assured’ – designed to give visitors complete peace of mind regarding cleanliness and safety, as well as ensuring flexibility on bookings and the best possible rates for those booking direct.

And, with family and interconnecting rooms available across selected properties, households can travel and be accommodated in their own ‘social bubbles’ for total peace of mind.

Angela Vickers, CEO of Apex Hotels, said: “With lockdown restrictions easing, we are looking forward to welcoming guests who want to make the most of the remainder of the summer by taking much-needed staycations and becoming tourists in their own country.

“Following some challenging times for our industry, we are delighted to be getting back to what we do best and reopening our doors to guests who are eager to travel.

Of course, in line with Government guidance, the Apex experience will be a little different now. As well as offering comfort, style, and our signature warmer welcome, our Apex Assurance goes one step further to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests.”

The Apex Assured commitment builds on the company’s already exacting cleaning standards to include additional measures such as hand sanitiser stations and social distancing guidance.

Angela continued: “We will be paying particular attention to high traffic areas and guest rooms. For example, as well as linen and towel changes, our teams will freshen all in-room amenities for new guests – from toiletries to tea and coffee to the addition of packs of antibacterial wipes. And we’ll keep rooms free of non-essential items but will still have these to hand on request. We’ll even be including welcome packs in each room for guests, with hand sanitiser and PPE.

“We also recognise that, particularly in the current circumstances, plans can change quickly, so we’re making a flexible booking rate available to allow free last-minute cancellations, and we continue to offer the best available rates to those booking direct via our website.

“It’s been a challenging few months for people across the UK, and we’re very pleased to be involved in getting people travelling again and enjoying everything that this wonderful country has to offer.”

Headquartered in Edinburgh, Apex Hotels operates 10 properties in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Bath.
