Roadworks in Queen Square are not exactly making it easy to get into the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution at the moment.
It’s all to do with the city’s forthcoming Clean Air Zone, but the contractors have established a corridor from the central park area and – with various art exhibitions elsewhere in town – you might like to know there’s a free-to-enter extravaganza currently happening here too.
The “BRLSI Biennale” features the work of around 40 members and there are 60-plus works on show.
Alongside some stunning oil paintings and watercolours look out for pen and ink drawings, photographs, sculpture, prints, glass and textile art.
The variety of subject matter is extraordinary and many of the works are for sale.
The exhibition is on show from now until Saturday 21 March, 10am-4pm every day except Sundays (free admission).
