One brave Bath Newseum followers braved today’s lashing of wind and rain to show us the volume at which the River Avon is currently flowing.
Paul Jackson took some shots at Pulteney Bridge. As he says: ” I always find the weir fascinating – it’s almost disappeared (and the sheer volume of water is particularly impressive) at the moment after yesterday’s heavy rains.
I think the Canals and Rivers Trust clears the trapped trees periodically – but in the meantime there’s an interesting island building up behind Pulteney Bridge. If left, maybe birds will nest here in the Spring?”
Thanks for images and comments Paul. Always welcome from all our followers!
