A buffet reception with the Mayor of Bath in the Mayor’s Parlour is just one of the prizes on offer in an exciting new art prize and exhibition to be held at 44AD Artspace.
It’s been organised by the Bath and District branch of the Royal Commonwealth Society.
The theme for the art prize and exhibition is communication (in the Commonwealth) and entry is free for all. There are two tiers to the art prize, one category is open to all BANES school age children (subdivided into age group categories): http://www.44ad.net/rcs-young-artists.html and there is also an 18+ years open category.
Selected artworks will be on display in an art exhibition next March at 44AD artspace in Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to show their artwork within a professional gallery setting alongside more established artists.
There are some wonderful prizes on offer that include a buffet reception with the Mayor of Bath in the Mayor’s Parlour, art materials and an exhibition at 44AD artspace plus £750 in cash prizes. A prize-giving ceremony will take place at Bath Abbey where the finalist artworks will also be shown.
The Royal Commonwealth Society (Bath and District) art prize and exhibition is an accessible and inclusive art prize and we welcome applications from all sectors of the community.
