Moorland Road library open day

Bath’s Moorland Road Community Library is a great example of what people can do if they come together.

In saving the library for local residents, the facility’s trustees are inviting all members of the local community to get involved and would love all those interested to come along to an Open Day on Saturday 1st June.

Everyone is welcome to come and find out what the new library team have in store and how to become a part of this exciting community project.

Running from 10am–12noon, the Open Day will be a chance for all local residents to come down to the library and speak to trustees about how they can get involved.

The library is currently closed while the new team are trained and the library is refurbished, but will reopen in early July.

Chair of trustees, Liz Hearn has said, ‘Our library is at the heart of our community, run for and by local residents.

We’ve been hugely encouraged by the response we’ve had so far and we’d love more members of our community to join us on what is set to be an exciting journey’.

Fellow Trustee, Alice Boden says, ‘We are a friendly and welcoming group, and would love to hear from anyone who is interested in spending some time helping at the library’.

The Open Day is on Saturday 1st June from 10am–12noon at the library on Moorland Road, Bath BA2 3PL.
