Help get Bath on the big screen.

Do you want to help get Bath on the big screen?

Award-winning Kurdish writer Kae Bahar, a British citizen who has spent 25 years in England – including 15 years living in Bath – has come up with a script for what he hopes will be his first feature film – and it will be filmed here in our city.

It’s called Dolphins in the Sky – and is what he describes as a life-affirming movie about family, dance and love. Only problem is – he needs the money to finance it.

Kae is married to Bath-born artist Josie Bahar. He studied in Europe and has worked internationally as a documentary filmmaker and actor.

He has produced several films for Channel 4, BBC and Al Jazeera. I AM SAMI, his directorial debut film drama, had over 150 screenings in international film festivals, winning 53 awards.

The inspiration for what he hopes will be his first full-length movie came from his own experience of suddenly finding his world turned upside down.

He told Bath Newseum what happened as he returned to Bath from a screening tour in Israel.
