Great to see Marcus – who is B&NE’s Graffiti Cleaning Unit – hard at work on one of the vandalised walls of the Kennet and Avon Canal as it runs through historic Sydney Gardens.
The leaves at his feet are to catch the chemicals he is using so that they do not run off into the water where they could be harmful to fish.
He’ll be back to tackle the other vandalised wall in a few days. Hope his boss is reading this, as he is a local hero.
We must not tolerate vandalism like this in areas that are so important to the city and its tourist trade.
