With the end of the six-week long public consultation – on proposals to create a Clean Air Zone in Bath in sight – Bath Newseum has been talking to the man who has been very busy listening to what the public have had to say.
Cllr Bob Goodman is B&NES Cabinet member for Development and Neighbourhoods and this proposal – which will see vehicles failing a limit set for vehicle emissions being charged to enter the city centre – is something he is keen to push through.
There are hints also of more measures – supported with government money – to increase the pedestrianisation of parts of the inner area.
No decisions have yet been made and the consultation is open until 26 November. Find out more online or by attending a drop in event and have your say by completing a consultation questionnaire at www.bathnes.gov.uk/breathe. Information is also available at your local B&NES library or One Stop Shop.
