A chance to look behind the scenes at a multi-million pound project to secure the unique floor of Bath Abbey is coming our way next month.
As part of Heritage Open Days people will be able to visit areas where the floor is being repaired and the memorial stones being conserved.
The tours will look at why there are so many memorial stones, why the floor is collapsing, their history, and how they are being repaired through the Footprint Project.
Bath Newseum has been talking to Dr Oliver Taylor – who is the Abbey’s Interpretation Officer – and asked how things are proceeding.
To repeat what Dr Taylor has said. Tours must be pre-booked. You can ring the Abbey at 01225 422462 nor send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
