While B&NES has applied for planning permission to re-lay and repair the stone ‘setts’ outside the Number 1 end of Royal Crescent – they are already busy tidying up part of Queen Street in the city centre.
This was the ‘quaint’ little ‘cobbled’ backstreet used as a location for filming a Sherlock Holmes ‘special’ for the BBC last year.

This time, the barricades hide men at work on lifting and re-laying the stones – not Benedict Cumberbatch.

Meanwhile – up at Royal Crescent – work could get underway on re-laying and replacing setts outside the Georgian House home of Bath Preservation Trust later this year.
