Come see the carousel.

Well, look what’s arrived outside the Bath Street side entrance to the Pump Room.

With the Christmas Market now ended – the beer shed that surprisingly – this year – replaced the traditional carousel has been cleared away.

Now – in its place – is a children’s roundabout of sorts. Not exactly the galloping horses we had grown used to but, at least, it makes the kids as dizzy as the grown ups are at this frantic time of the year.

I will let you into a little secret. You can still view a traditional carousel but not one that can be ridden.

It’s a wonderful model on display around the corner in Abbey Church Yard where Bath Rotary is busy collecting for local charity.
